A plain-English overview of how KabanKo protects your data, uses AI, and works with third-party service providers.

1. Security Practices

  • Encryption in transit: We use HTTPS to protect data between your browser and our servers.
  • Access controls: Access to production systems is restricted and audited.
  • Rate limiting: We apply rate limits to help prevent abuse and protect service availability.

2. AI Features

  • Recommendations only: AI outputs are informational and should not be treated as professional financial, medical, or legal advice.
  • Minimization: We aim to limit personal data sent to AI providers where feasible. Some features may include user-provided names or free-text you submit (for example, debt reminders or chat). Please avoid typing highly sensitive information (e.g., passwords, government IDs) into free-text fields.
  • Provider policies apply: AI providers may process requests according to their terms and privacy policies.

3. Service Providers (Subprocessors)

To deliver the product, we rely on reputable providers for hosting and authentication.

Supabase: authentication, database, and storage.

Vercel: web hosting and performance monitoring.

Render: API hosting.

Google: optional Google Sign-In.

AI Providers: generate meal plans and insights (provider may vary).

International Transfers

Some providers process data outside the Philippines. We take steps to use providers with strong security practices and to limit the data shared to what’s needed to operate the service.

4. Your Data Rights

  • Access & portability: You can request a copy of your data.
  • Deletion: You can request account deletion. We delete data from active systems; residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period.

5. Trust FAQ

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell personal information.

Do AI providers train on my data?

We minimize what’s sent. Most insights use totals and categories, but some features include the name or message you provide (e.g., debt reminders or chat). Providers may process requests according to their own policies.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. You can request deletion. Data is removed from active systems; backups may retain residual copies for a limited period.
